Instead of fighting for the rights and interests of the working class, as well as most of humanity, the Covid Left has aligned itself instead with, and accepts the ideology of, the privileged professional middle class (PMC) and the trade union bureaucracy (TUB). Today, according to Canadian professor Dr. Denis Rancourt, Dutch professor Dr. Kees Van Der Pijl, and NYU professor Mark Crispin Miller, this “cosmopolitan cadre” has effectively betrayed the working class, and whatever Left ideals it used to hold, and come to occupy, with our oligarchic masters, a political “Broad Center.” This Center is manipulated by the ruling class of billionaire oligarchs, led by its new “pivotal center” of Information Technology (IT) and media. Out of fear that a “new 1848” pre-revolutionary situation had been brewing by the end of the 2010s, this class’s goal is the creation of a “surveillance state” to control the global working class. In this, with the aid of these cadre, have been so far very successful, with the passports and 5G based nanotechnology they have introduced, via the vaccines.
By its very,
Social psychologist Dr. Mattias Desmet has termed the totalitarian campaign to which we all have become subjected over the past two years, a “mass [psychosis] formation”, with the creation, through the (phony) pandemic, of four conditions:
1. Lack of Social Bonding
2. Lack of Meaning Making
3. Free Floating Anxiety
4. Free Floating Aggression
This drives them into a form of totalitarianism, a cult, with its religious rituals, new social bonds, etc., (“Tonytown,” is my term for it) which they accept not only for themselves but seek to impose upon others.
The more cohesive and commonsensical working and lower, small propertied middle classes, who have borne the brunt of these Covid-repressive measures, have proved to be less susceptible to, and more rebellious toward, this mass psychosis. But the intra-class competitive nature, privileged positions, and status anxiety of the professional middle class, made them peculiarly susceptible to this campaign. Add to this, the fact that the Left as well as the Center in the past–and now what Pijl describes as the “Broad Center–have always been enthralled, not with science, per se, but with scientism.
The essence of genuine science is its basis in testing, debate, the clash of opinions, empirical proofs. The bottom line for medical science and technology, especially, is that it must be established as safe and good for the human beings medicine purports to serve. As noted earlier, none of this is happening with any of the Covid repression measures, including, and most dangerously, these toxic shots.Scientism, on the other hand, is an authoritarian religion that requires no proof, no adequate testing. It simply asks us to place our tender faith in the authority of “scientists” such as Dr. Anthony “the Science” Fauci. Underlying such touching faith is what social psychologists Erich Fromm called the receptive, and Alexander Mitsherlich called the oral–regressive social psychology of modern mass consumer society. In terms reminiscent of Jean Jacques Rousseau’s Social Contract, and Max Horkheimer of the Frankfurt School,Mitscherlich argues that the State, and the corporate capitalist economy, present themselves, in many people’s minds, as
“a mother goddess with innumerable breasts…. technology is relied on to bring about incubator [i.e., womb-like] conditions….When a new technical gadget is successfully launched…, prestige is associated with the toy, whether it be a camera or a private bar or a private swimming-pool.”
Or, as psychiatrist Joel Kovel wrote later, the corporate commodity has become our collective superego. Thus we are encouraged, however smart we think we are, however credentialed, however steeped in “Marxist” doctrine, to passive reception of whatever technologies–including above all medical technologies–that are offered to us, as something that always must be good for us–because Dr. Fauci, and the medical establishment he, Gates, and Big Pharma, told us so. Integral to this is the modern idolatry of technique, that Lewis Mumford (The Myth of the Machine) and Erich Fromm analyzed. In Fromm’s words, the modern “principle,” if you can call it that,
is that something ought to be done if it is technically possible to be done…. This principle means the negation of all values which the humanist tradition has developed…that something should be done because it is needed for man, for his growth, joy and reason, because it is beautiful, good are true [but with this modern technological idolatry] all [such] values are dethroned.
It is this dubious “principle” that underlies acceptance of these mRNA shots, just as it is with genetically engineering food, fracking, et alia.
.If we can produce a desired effect, the effect we predicted on our white board and then produced in our labs, to hell with any consideration of the “side” effects! We can turn trillions of the human body’s cells into manufacturing plants to produce spiked proteins, which will then incur an antibody reaction–fine! Let’s stop right there! It moderates symptoms–just as we predicted! We don’t need any testing, for safety, or . We got our desired result, so let’s go right into mass production, and market! And certainly the immunity that Big Pharma has won from the Reagan Administration’s Prep Act, and a recent amendment, for their vaccines, and their corruption of government officials around the world, certainly has no marked discouraging effect upon this process.
Underlying this is, of course, the capitalist profit motive. The desired effect makes us a profit; the technique we’ve invented has what William James called “cash value.” Thus the public should simply fall in line with our latest technological invention
, If I don’t, if I demand adequate testing beforehand, if I complain about the actual so-called side effects, then I’m a right-wing ignoramus, and I should be forced against my will (and against the Nuremberg Code) to take the jabs.
But who are the real ignorami today? This is an outdated, and actually quite distorted, version of the Enlightenment leader Voltaire’s view that outside of empirical science–enjoyed by an elite, not the canaille–there is only metaphysics, dogma, and ignorance. The doctrine was revolutionary in its time, when the bourgeoisie fought against feudal absolutist religious dogma. But by the twentieth century, times changed, and so has the nature of the ruling class and its ideology. The continued, uncritical acceptance of this ideology is akin to Frederick Douglass’s assertion, decades after it had betrayed Reconstruction, that “The Republican Party is the ship and all else is the sea around us.” Heraclitus said that we never step into the same river twice. The Republican Party had already changed a great deal since 1865, by the Gilded Age era in which Douglass continued to promote it. So has “Science” since the mid-18th century. Voltaire’s “Science vs. Ignorance, by which he actually supported empiricist proof and skepticism of dogma, has been transformed by the now corporate capitalist bourgeoisie into its opposite, an authoritarian, dogmatic idolatry among their unwitting followers in the upper middle class, completely blind to the corruption of Establishment Science by industry, denying even the need for empirical proofs of safety for their toxic products–and thus potentially hazardous to our health. It is because of this willful blindness that the Broad Center looks at workers’ movements rising up to defend ‘The Rights of Man’ around the globe–and sees only “crackpots,” and “right wing fascist thugs,” imbued with “excessive bourgeois individualism,” heirs to the Inquisition and the Salem witch-hunts. Nothing could be further from the truth,

Even here, if Voltaire were alive today, he might protest loudly at the distortions of his empiricist valuation of science by the Big Pharma medical establishment. He might shout along with me, “where’s the empirical testing?!” It’s a genuine pity that the Broad Center seems to have no use for other of Voltaire’s ideas, far more relevant today, Such as the following: “Doctors put drugs of which they know little into bodies of which they less, for diseases of which they know nothing at all.” TOP 25 QUOTES BY VOLTAIRE (of 701) | A-Z Quotes (azquotes.com)
In lieu of the failure of the organized Left to come to the helm as yet of this movement, the petit bourgeoisie presently lead the medical freedom movement, and, according to Dr. Van Der Pijl, are being manipulated through their national populism by members of the ruling class like Donald Trump. And this is why the movement so far is bedecked with national flags, and a complete “libertarian” misunderstanding, in my view, about the “communist nature” of the technocratic oligarchs that are calling the shots (and these shots). But these right-wing tendencies are not essential to the movement, and not sufficient reason to reject the movement, and reject trying to lead it in a socialist direction. Their cause, their grievances, their fight, is legitimate. V.I. Lenin, in his essay on the Irish Rebellion of 1916, had the following to say to those socialists who scorned the Rebellion because it had petit-bourgeois, nationalist leaders (except, of course, for martyr James Connolly!): “To imagine that social revolution is conceivable without revolts by small nations in the colonies and in Europe, without revolutionary outbursts by a section of the petty bourgeoisie with all its prejudices, without a movement of the politically non-conscious proletarian and semi-proletarian masses against oppression by the landowners, the church, and the monarchy, against national oppression, etc. – to imagine all this is to repudiate social revolution. So one army lines up in one place and says, ‘We are for socialism’, and another, somewhere else and says, ‘We are for imperialism’, and that will be a social revolution! Only those who hold such a ridiculously pedantic view could vilify the Irish rebellion by calling it a ‘putsch’. Whoever expects a ‘pure’ social revolution will never live to see it.” V.I.
